Forteviot was once a Royal Pictish Kingdom. It is where King Kenneth McAlpin united the gaels and picts. This is a reconsturction of a cemetery created by the picts. The Picts created their cemetery a short distance away from an older ceremonial site, probably reflecting the continued imortance of this location.
